Needham is a town in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. A suburb of Boston, its population was 28,886 at the 2010 census. It is home to the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, an engineering school.
People started settling in Needham since the year 1680. The city was officially recognized in 1711. The city is a part of Dedham Grant. Needham was moved out from Dedham and was named after the Needham Market village of Suffolk, England.
